Hi hello! My name is Brittany Keyes (she/her) and I am the ceramics artist behind Twigs and Terra Pottery. My relationship with clay began in Brooklyn, New York during a COVID pandemic quarantine, and it developed into a meditative practice that continues to ground and teach me.
I enjoy creating pottery that compliments its function and environment while speaking to a connection with nature and the ways a piece can relate to its home. It brings me joy to make pots and homewares that can become part of cozy corners, home rituals, or expressions of community care. For me, a pot is always more at home filled with twigs or other botanicals; and whether a piece is filled with twigs or flowers or trinkets or coffee, I hope Twigs and Terra Pottery can find a place in your home, too.
In addition to crafting pottery from my home base of Providence, Rhode Island, I work as a studio technician at a community pottery studio, write training curriculum for nonprofit organizations, and spend time chasing my cats.
